I work with you.
I see working with a therapist as a mutual decision based on a desire for change. I work with clients to help them achieve the goals and changes that they feel are important.

My background, and the meaning of transactional analysis.
Transactional Analysis (or TA) is a talking therapy which focuses on building a positive, mutual relationship with the therapist. It is about exploring our own feelings about the world and our place in it, and our relationships with others and ourselves.
I came across TA in 2005 when on a counselling skills course, and enjoyed the simple, accessible language and the sense it made for me of my own behaviour and that of others. I decided to study this further, and in 2013 I qualified as a psychotherapeutic counsellor. In 2016 I completed my training as a Certified Transactional Analyst with an MSc and diploma. I have been seeing clients for 8 years, and have witnessed transformations in people who have felt stuck and lost, or frustrated. These changes come from greater awareness, and having the skills to make shifts within oursevles. We all have this potential - it is a matter of harnessing it - and sometimes we need a non-judgemental and empathic other to work with us. |
